Holy Cross Primary School celebrates National Bible Week
Holy Cross Primary School intended ‘National Bible Week’ to be very special in our School. We wanted our Learners to become more familiar with the Word of God; so we tried to encourage them to read their Bible every day.
We started the week with a special Assembly: Each Grade had prepared a ‘Bible Song’. This was a beautiful start to the week.
The Intermediate/Senior Phase took part in a ‘New Testament Reading Marathon’. They read from Mathew 28 to Revelation 22. This showed deep insight into the Bible for our Intermediate/Senior Phase Learners.
We ended the week with a ‘Bible Quiz’ – for Foundation Phase and Intermediate/Senior Phase separately.
The Learners were grouped in 3 ‘Houses’: Panthers, Tigers and Cheetahs, wearing the colour of their respective house. The Bible Quiz was a huge success – and the Learners learnt a lot.
We say a very special ‘Thank you’ to Mrs Pelman, who was the main organizer of the Bible Week.
She did a wonderful job!
May the ‘Word of God’ come alive in our school through encouraging the Learners to love the Bible.
